Have you ever wondered what it would be like to look at the stars and the Moon through telescopes?
Spend a magical evening learning about the night sky in the heart of the Elan Valley International Dark Sky Park on 4th April 2020.
Following a delicious buffet, astronomer and broadcaster Pete Williamson will talk about how to get started with recognising some of the brighter constellations with unaided eyes, what equipment to use for viewing the Moon, planets and other objects. He will also show you what to look out for in the night sky during the spring season.
If the night is clear, there will be an opportunity to look through some telescopes to see the Moon and its craters, star clusters and more. Please bring some warm clothing and torches. Places are limited so please book. Supervised children over the age of 8 welcome. Ticket cost: £14, which includes food and drinks.
Time: 7pm – 10pm. Ticket cost: £14, which includes food and drinks. Meet at Penbont House.
